Chelsea’s Reaction To Eden Hazard’s Real Madrid Speculations

Eden Hazard transfer rumour

As summer approaches, lots of news are circulating the media linking different players to different clubs, and one of which is Chelsea’s Eden Hazard speculations to Real Madrid.

However, the premier league leaders appear to be playing it cool amidst the speculation and also declining to make comments on the transfer rumours.

While Diego Costa is linked to a move out of Stamford Bridge soon, the Belgium international too has been linked to a move to Madrid. It was also indicated that the La Liga club will need to cough out over £100m if the deal would be successful.

However, the west London club declined to comment after being asked about Hazard’s future as Chelsea’s manager himself, Antonio Conte, do not seem worried about Madrid’s interest

Some reports from Spain stated that Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has made Hazard his priority and he told the club president Florentino Perez – who has sworn to do all it takes to sign him in.

However, Real Madrid’s former president Ramon Calderon, revealed that the club could complete a deal if the Belgian forces a move.

Calderon noted that it won’t be easy to get Eden Hazard as Chelsea is not a selling club. So, everything would depend on the player himself.

And if we should look at things from the perspective of the possibilities of Chelsea blocking his move, Calderon was of the opinion that if truly Hazard wants to leave, he will surely leave – and Chelsea will only ask for a lot of money.

Hazard has been in excellent form this season so far and has scored 11 times in 26 Premier League appearances for Antonio Conte’s side.

Chelsea have however tied him down with a long-term contract and will hope he will stay put when they offer him a new and better deal.
