Former Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson is known to regularly attends his former club’s matches since he stepped down as boss of the Old Trafford club nearly four years ago, and the Scot has revealed two teams that makes him nervous when playing against United.
Ferguson has recently admitted that the two premier league teams that makes him worried when watching them play against Man United, are Liverpool and Manchester City. The Old Trafford legend revealed he gets nervous and anxious watching the two teams playing against his former club.
This season, Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United side have been involved in tense strives with his former club Chelsea, and one would have thought Sir Alex would have included the premier league table leaders.
However, the Scot legend stated that the two clubs that worries him are Liverpool and Man City. He noted that the only time he get a bit anxious is when United play Liverpool and Manchester City because, according to him, those are the biggest games.
Sir Alex who won 49 titles when he was still boss at Man United, told Sirius XM that one thing he noticed about English football is the tribalism therein.
He stated that in England, there are the London clubs, there are the Midlands clubs, and there are the Yorkshire clubs – which creates a competitive edge to games.
