28-year-old could replace Alexis Sanchez at Arsenal – Report

Dortmund forward Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang would be a good signing to Arsene Wenger’s team to fill the boots of Alexis Sanchez’s, Tony Gale has suggested.

Arsenal are still uncertain about the future of the Chilean at The Emirates Stadium given he has just less than six months left on his current Arsenal contract.

The gunners could offload the Chilean in a reduced-price deal in the summer transfer window, or the forward could depart for nothing at the end of the campaign.

Sanchez, 29, netted 24 goals in 38 matches in the English Premier League last season to end the campaign as the Gunners top goal-scorer in the Premier League last season.

Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, 28, has been frequently linked with a transfer to England over the past few years but a move has never happened despite interest from Premier League Champions Chelsea and Merseyside giants Liverpool.

Ex-West Ham United forward Gale feels the African will be a good signing for the English FA Cup winners considering the uncertainty in Alexis Sanchez’s Arsenal future.

The Gabonese has scored 141 goals in 212 matches in all competitions during his four years at Borussia Dortmund.

The forward is tagged one of Europe’s most prolific strikers in recent years and will be a perfect signing for Arsenal.
