Lyon star player Nabil Fekir has been consistently in the news recently due to his links with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, and it appears the Frenchman will actually play at Anfield next season.
According to new reports, the Anfield club have made a significant breakthrough in their race to sign the France international.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is ready to splash huge cash to reinforce his team ahead of the 2018/19 season. Having secured the signature of Brazilian midfielder Fabinho few days ago, the German boss is now focused on making Nabil his second signing of the summer.
The Anfield club are yet to bring in a new superb player to replace Philippe Coutinho who left Merseyside for Barcelona in January. However, after monitoring Fekir for some time, it is understood the Frenchman has convinced everyone at Anfield that he has all it takes to adequately replace Coutinho at the club.
According to the Daily Mirror, Nabil has made known his desire to join Liverpool and Lyon’s management have agreed to allow him to leave this summer.
It was also added that Jurgen Klopp’s side are hoping not to pay above £50M to sign the talented player and are pushing to finalise everything before the start of the World Cup.
