Arsenal, Man City in transfer tug of war over right back

One of the positions that need strengthening in the Arsenal team is the right-back as there are not enough quality options available which is the reason why the North London outfit seek to land Strasbourg star Kenny Lala ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, Arsenal will face a serious battle for the signature of Kenny Lala as the English Premier League champions Man City are also keen on the 27-year-old.

The Sun reports that Man City boss Pep Guardiola has been in the hunt of the player for quite some time and he is now ready to move in when the summer transfer window is opened.

Kenny Lala has got a contract with his club until 2021 but there are no assurances he would stay until then because the Gunners are keen on defensive reinforcement which makes the star player a major fit for the position.

However, the North London outfit are at an advantage as it has been confirmed that Kenny Lala will not cost much more than £13 million which could be affordable for Arsenal.

It is no longer news that manager Unai Emery has been told that he will have just £40 million to spend in the summer transfer window.
