Man United have learned that they will have to cough out £51 million before they can be able to secure the signature of Portuguese star and Italian Serie A champions Juventus defender Joao Cancelo in this coming summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are keen on defenders ahead of the coming season after suffering a very disappointing end of the season with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer already hinting that there will be a number of additions as soon as the summer transfer window is opened.

It is reported that Juventus are willing to let go of Joao Cancelo and have told the Red Devils that he would be available but until the fee is met.

Joao Cancelo has been viewed as the player who could fill the space that would be left by Antonio Valencia because he has impressed in his stay at Juventus and he has a track record of good performance in his spell with the Spanish La Liga outfit Valencia.

However, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reported to be preparing for the summer transfer window with an expected kitty of £100 million as he claims that the coming season would be a different one entirely because of the need to win titles and challenge as a big side.
