Premier League giants Arsenal look a step closer to completing the move of Schalke star Max Meyer after he turned down the offer of a fresh deal with the German Bundesliga side.
Promising youngster
The 22-year-old midfielder is labelled as one of Europe’s most promising youngsters in his position, having performed pretty well in the Bundesliga recently.
As per the Metro, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is now possibly looking into bringing in Meyer as his team would be free to open negotiations with him now as the player is in the last few months of his deal with Schalke.

The North Londoners could surely do with reinforcing in the middle of the park due to recent poor displays from the likes of Switzerland star Granit Xhaka and Wales international Aaron Ramsey in that role, while England international midfielder Jack Wilshere is approaching the end of his contract with Arsenal.
