Arsenal are set to face competitions from their Premier League rivals Manchester United in their chase of Bayern Munich footballer James Rodriquez.

The North London club are in search of a new attacker who will add to the strength available at the club with Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and French forward Alexandre Lacazette.

The Colombian international was first discovered at the 2014 World Cup before his move to Real Madrid and now the German Bundesliga giants where he has also proved to be a world class player the Gunners might be searching for.

It is reported that Arsenal boss Unai Emery will be ready to meet every financial demand to be able to capture the former Madrid player to the Emirates Stadium as he wished to push to the top for a Champions League qualification next season.

This season, James Rodriquez has had 7 appearances and scored on three occasions.

Although, James Rodriquez remains Real Madrid player but it is expected that he returns after his loan deal with Bayern Munich to make a decision on his future with expectations that he will not give a nod to the offer from Arsenal.

Meanwhile, the North London side are sitting eight in the Premier League table and they will hope to return from the international break to continue the fight for the title.
