Latest Liverpool signing Virgil van Dijk has said that he will be set to make his debut when the team locks horns with Everton in Friday evening’s crucial English FA Cup encounter.
The Dutch has been getting used to life at Anfield after signing for Liverpool from Southampton as the Red’s first New Year signing.
The centre-half was not included in the team for their English Premier League encounter against Burnley on New Year’s day.
However, the former Southampton star has already started training at Melwood ground and will be hoping to impress the technical crew and seal a spot in the team for Liverpool FC’s encounter with Everton on Friday.
And Van Dijk, 26, has said he is fit and set to play for the Reds after his transfer from Southampton.
The new Liverpool defender, who is not cup-tied in European matches this season, will be hoping to assist his new team once again to seal a top-four finish this campaign and seal qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
Van Dijk will also be hoping to assist Liverpool FC progress through to the next round – quarter-finals of the Champions League by defeating FC Porto in February.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has disclosed that the latest signing is desperate to play his first game for Liverpool in the English FA Cup against Everton on Friday night.
