Chelsea told to give up on underperforming 24-year-old striker

Former Chelsea skipper Dennis Wise has urged his former side to give up on second choice striker Michy Batshuayi.

The Chelsea forward has struggled to cement a first-team place since his transfer to the West London club.

The Belgium international striker was also deputy to controversial Spain international striker Diego Costa throughout the previous campaign.

He scored an important goal that sealed the Blues title success under Italian tactician Antonio Conte last season.

Batshuayi scored a late winner in their 1-0 victory at West Bromwich Albion to seal the victory and a second league title in three years.

However, the Blues forward hasn’t been able to kick on this season despite Diego Costa’s exit to La Liga side Atletico Madrid.

Offload Batshuayi

Former Blues midfielder Dennis Wise believes it is the right time to call it quits with the Belgian striker.

The Stamford Bridge outfit sit third in the League table but 15 points behind the current leaders.

Conte’s side signed England international midfielder Ross Barkley in a £15million deal from in the wither transfer window from Everton.
