Real Madrid have reached an agreement in principle to sign Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea, according to reports.
The 26-year-old has been tipped to move away from the Old Trafford in favour of a return to the Spanish capital following his failed move to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2015 due to an administrative error.
De Gea is understood to have held significant talks with Real Madrid over a potential move since then and would fancy a move this summer.
However, United boss Jose Mourinho has silenced the speculations by claiming that the goalkeeper is happy at the Old Trafford, despite giving him the chance to leave the club earlier this summer.
But the reports of a Real Madrid move is still being discussed in the various news outlets, Spanish media, Diario Gol have now claimed that David De Gea has a verbal agreement with Real over a move which could materialise this window.
Although, what remains to be known is whether Mourinho will allow any of his stars leave the club as the transfer window reached its anti-climax, meaning finding a replacement for the keeper will be a difficult task.
United have since been linked with moves for a number of shot-stoppers this summer, with the likes of AC Milan youngster, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Stoke City’s Jack Butland and Leicester City keeper, Kasper Schemeichel all tipped to join the Red Devils.
