Chelsea prepare £33million offer to sign Antonio Conte’s favourite transfer target

According to reports, Chelsea have made an initial approach to German Bundesliga side Bayern Munich worth about £33million to complete the winter transfer of star midfielder Arturo Vidal.

However, the figure is unlikely to be good enough as the Bundesliga side want a better offer more than that figure – close to about £53million, as reported by to journalist Pipe Sierra on Twitter.

The Chilean international midfielder has been one of the best midfielders in the whole of Europe recently, shining for Bayern Munich and also at his former club Juventus under the tutelage of current Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte.

The Italian tactician could do with more alternatives in the midfield at the moment offloading Serbian international Nemanja Matic to rivals Manchester United during the summer transfer window, and with summer signings Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco and Danny Drinkwater from Leicester City failing to impress the manager and fans alike consistently.

The Bayern Munich versatile midfielder looks like he’d be a major upgrade in the midfield, and Antonio Conte himself has been praising the Chilean star in the past.
Recently, the Italian was quoted as saying that Arturo is a fantastic footballer, and admitted he has a great respect for the Bayern star.
