Liverpool Can Now Complete Star Player Signing In January

According to reports, Virgil Van Dijk will now be allowed to move to Liverpool if the reds will pay his club £70million for his signature.

The defender was heavily linked with Liverpool during the past summer transfer window, and he even handed in a transfer request to force his way into Anfield

But the Saints threatened to report Liverpool to the FA for approaching the player illegally without permission from them, which forced the Anfield club to render a public apology.

But the incident made things bitter between the two clubs and Jurgen Klopp’s side didn’t sign another central defender before the closure of the transfer window, even when it is evident his side needs one badly.

It was made known that despite Southampton holding on to the Dutchman during the summer transfer window, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is still a big fan of the player and has the money to bring him to Anfield in January.

And speaking recently about Van Dijk, manager Mauricio Pellegrino refused to rule out the possibility of selling the defender in January, claiming he ‘can’t control the market’.

‘You never know, because when we talk about money, everyone has got a price.’ he admitted.

Jurgen Klopp is still struggling with his defense department, as his side have conceded 17 goals so far this season.
