Chelsea to pay £50million to sign Arturo Vidal – report

According to reports emanating from Germany, Bundesliga giant Bayern Munich are ready to sell Chelsea transfer target Arturo Vidal in a £50million move next summer transfer window.

German publication Kicker, as cited by The Sun, is reporting that the English Premier League champions are willing to reinforce their midfield as they look to fill the void left behind by Serbia international midfielder Nemanja Matic.

The same publication claim that Bayern’s £50million valuation asking price is well above the Blues’ £34million valuation of the former Chilean international.

According to the same article, the sacking of Italian Carlo Ancelotti as Bayern boss has opened up the likelihood of the 30-year-old midfield maestro leaving the German club at the end of the season.

The German media outfit suggests that Bayern Munich have become disillusioned with the Chilean’s poor displays the German Bundesliga this campaign, while Vidal suffered the major blow of his national team – Chile missing out on next year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The South American’s Bayern Munich contract will run out in 2019 to open up the likelihood of the former Juventus midfielder leaving for free in 24 months, which perhaps says the German Bundesliga club’s willingness to cash in.

The midfielder won two Italian Serie A titles under current Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte during his manager’s spell in charge of Italian Serie A champions Juventus before he was appointed head coach of the Italian national men football team.
