It is now obvious that EPL giants Manchester United need real quality stars to strengthen their squad this month, but they are also focusing on talented youngsters which is a nice idea too.
In regards to Manchester United transfer updates, many things are often being reported. The latest report now suggests that the red devils moved in to sign a certain Brazilian international in the person of Flamengo center forward.
Independent reported that United made an attempt to seal first option on any eventual transfer for youngster Vinicius Junior. However, the move was reported rejected by the Brazilian club.
It was known that Flamengo rate the teenage striker very highly and they have plans to bring him into the first team very soon, and the 16-year old has a release clause of €30Million in his contract.
It was also said that general director Fred Luz informed Man United representative that only an immediate payment of a fee will put them in pole position to hire Junior. But United never returned.
“The talks didn’t really get far, because Fred Luz told them plainly that future discussions [would] depend on the immediate payment of a sum that would give them priority among offers of equal value. At that point, the Englishman, who thought it was going to be a piece of cake, left and didn’t return.” According to former president of Flamengo.
The Independent have however not mentioned any specific figure that Flamengo demanded from Manchester United. We think the red devils might decide not to return because the fee was a huge one and not worth it. Considering also the release clause in his contract, it is just too huge for a teenager like him.
