Legend: This Player Will Create New Records At Man United

Manchester United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy is trusting that his former side’s new signing Romelu Lukaku will keep flourishing at Old Trafford.

The former Everton striker has made a strong start following his £75million move and has taken no time to settle at his new club, with Van Nistelrooy touting the Belgian to break some of his own records at the club.

Lukaku has been able to score seven times in seven games and also scored against his former club during their 4-0 premier league triumph at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Last term, the Belgium international was able to score 26 goals in 39 games for Everton and he narrowly missed out on winning the Golden Boot award to Tottenham’s Harry Kane.

And former Man United striker Van Nistelrooy feels Lukaku could only get better this season and will score more goals for Jose Mourinho’s side.

“[Lukaku] is a player more than capable of breaking records, including mine.” the Dutchman said.

During his time playing for Man United, Ruud was very much prolific and had a successful career with the red devils. He was able to emerge as the top scorer in the Champions League in three of his five seasons as a United striker and created a record at Old Trafford as the player to score in 10 consecutive matches.
