Former Arsenal star in police den

Former Arsenal striker, Nicklas Bendtner is reported to be in the Police den for an alleged violent assault on a taxi driver.

Reports from Danish media claim that the player has been arrested and is being interrogated.

According to Danish newspaper BT, on the incident that happened on Sunday morning in Copenhagen, Bendtner broke the jaw of a taxi driver.

The report was confirmed by Rasmus Krochin, Communications Manager for DanTaxi.

He stated that the driver was receiving treatment on the broken jaw, as at the time he made the confirmation.

We have had a report about violence against a rental car. I can not tell you any more,”

Also, security chief Carsten Reenberg, who confirmed the report, refused to give details of what transpired between the player and the driver.

This is not the first time the player has been involved in situations. He has got history of such.

Bendtner is currently a player of Rosenborg, with 23 goals to his name in his first season for the Norwegian champions.

He was left out of Denmark’s World Cup squad due to injury.

The 30-year-old left Arsenal in 2014 and has had loan spells at Juventus and Sunderland during his time at the Gunners.
