Eric Bailly Ruled Out Of Match Against West Ham

Jose Mourinho recently revealed that he believes Ivory Coast will win the 2017 African Cup of Nations in February considering how decisive they have been in the management of their centre-back Eric Bailly.

The Portuguese boss also confirmed that Bailley won’t be featured when his side play West Ham.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, the Special One revealed his frustration with the demands placed upon his schedule by the Ivorian FA. He however admitted that he respected their ruthless approach to preparing for the tournament as Ivory Coast head into the AFCON 2017 taking place in Gabon as one of the favourites.

“[Eric] Bailly is leaving,” “Bailly goes to the national team,”

“He has to be with the national team on the second of January. We ask for him to go on the third. They refused so he cannot play against West Ham.” Mourinho said.

Nevertheless, Mourinho didn’t allow that translate into an issue with the Ivory Coast national team but attested that he understood their stance and wish them victory in the competition.

“I wish Ivory Coast to be champion because with these kind of decisions they are controlling every second so for sure they are going to win the African Cup of Nations.”

Manchester United’s victory over Boro translated into their sixth consecutive win in all competitions, and they hope to keep on with their fine form when they face West Ham.
