Jose Mourinho is seriously planning ahead for next season and is determined to add more quality to his squad this summer.
He has been linked with the duo of Fabinho and Matic, and a deal for both could actually materialise very soon.
It is understood that the Old Trafford club are on the verge of announcing Nemanja Matic’s arrival from Chelsea as they continue working towards a deal for Monaco’s Fabinho.
Man United are said to have agreed on a deal with Chelsea for the Serbian international who has worked under Jose Mourinho.
The £35 million deal for the Serb will go through just as soon as Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko agrees with terms to a move to Chelsea.
But Jose wants more for his midfield department, and The Independent says the Portuguese tactician is pressing ahead with talks for Fabinho just as soon as Nemanja has been pictured holding up a Man United shirt.
Fabinho is a versatile talent who can play both in the middle and as a full-back and Mourinho believes the Brazilian will be a very valuable asset next term.
Last season at Monaco, Fabinho played 37 games for the Ligue I champions and scored 9 goals with one assist.
