Why Arsenal may not sign Sevilla star

North London outfit might lose out on the signature of Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla star midfielder Ever Banega in this winter transfer window, if Spanish reports are anything to go by.

The Gunners were earlier thought to have Ever Banega join the Emirates Stadium to add strength to the team and most importantly, serve as a cover to Wales international Aaron Ramsey who is set to leave the club at the end of the season.

It was earlier reported that Ever Banega’s agent is already in London to hold talks with the North London side but there seem to have been a weak negotiation from the Arsenal representatives.

This therefore means that they were unable to convince the player into having a switch to the Emirates Stadium in this January transfer window.

Reports, however, hint that the star player will be left with no choice than to remain in Spain for the remaining half of the season.

However, the Gunners will be left with no choice than to seek for other additions in this winter window that will replace the former Cardiff international in the long run.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are fourth in the Premier League table as they wish to break into the top four before the end of the season.
