After Champions League Defeat, Juve Ready To Snatch Chelsea Star From United’s Grip

Following their unpleasant experience last Saturday at Cardiff in the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid, the old ladies appears to have picked themselves up and are now planning ahead for next term.

Juventus management are once again keen on strengthening their team and will intend utilising the upcoming transfer window to bring in new legs. And Chelsea defensive midfielder Nemanja Matic is now in the limelight as far as Juventus transfer news is concerned.

Matic is mulling over the possibility of a new contract at Chelsea but is unhappy that he is losing a regular spot in Antonio Conte’s squad. Also, Chelsea are ready to splash the cash to bring French defensive midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco this summer. Obviously, Conte will prefer a combination of Kante and Bakayoko. So, Matic might simply leave Stamford Bridge to a place he is guaranteed of regular football.

Man United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly ready to reunite with the 28-year-old at Old Trafford and speculation is mounting that Matic will leave Chelsea in this latest window.

According to Calciomercato.com, Juventus may challenge Manchester United to Matic’s signature as the future of Sami Khedira is not yet certain. Chelsea are likely to avoid selling the Serbian international to a domestic rival, and Juventus might eventually beat United to get him.
