Leicester City are resigned to the idea of selling Riyad Mahrez this summer but will ask for a £50million, according to reports.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Algerian winger since last summer window after his heroics with the Foxes, helping them to a historic Premier League title. Although, Mahrez decided to remain at the King Power, signing a new deal to fend off interest from suitors.
However, reports have it that the 26-year-old wants to leave Leicester City after a barren campaign that saw them struggle to escape relegation, with reports that Arsenal have retained their interest in the winger and will try to seal a stunning move for him this summer.
Arsene Wenger, who is understood to be a long-term admirer of the Mahrez’s abilities, has been mandated by the Arsenal board to re-invent himself and bring past glories to the Emirates after committing his future to a new two-year deal.
Reports in the Sun claim that the Gunners have ramped up their pursuit of Mahrez and hope to seal a summer deal for the winger but Leicester City are holding out for a £50million transfer price before allowing him to leave the King Power Stadium this summer.
