Benfica manager Rui Vitoria believes Victor Lindelof will eventually find his form at Manchester United and that what the defender simply need is some little time to adjust to life in the premier league.
Lindelof, who made a move from Benfica to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window in a £30million deal, is yet to find his feet at his new club.
He has been able to get just one appearance off the bench in the premier league so far this season, but was part of the starting XI for both of Man United’s first two Champions League fixtures.
He is ready to face his former Portuguese club on Wednesday night for their next Champions League group stage game, and his former manager Vitoria has heaped lots of praises on him.
Speaking about the talented player ahead of his side’s clash with the premier league heavyweights, Vitoria made it known that Lindelof has the ‘competitive’ edge to succeed in the English top flight.
“I do foresee that in the future, [he] will be a player of Jose Mourinho’s team.” the manager said.
With the impressive form of the likes of Phil Jones and Eric Bailly, Victor will need to work very hard to establish a regular spot for himself in Jose Mourinho’s squad.
