According to reports, premier league side Liverpool are set to reignite their interest in Athletic Bilbao’s Inaki Williams.
However, they won’t get the striker without a fight as an Italian news outlet TMW (via talkSPORT) reported that the Anfield club would go head to head with German heavyweights Borussia Dortmund for the player’s signature.
Williams is a bright talent with a bright future and the reds have initially made known their interest in the youngster.
It was said that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp took notice of the player when he was still boss at Dortmund, and it appears he is now going to fight his former employers for the player’s signature.
Liverpool have been given the chance to see the player from a much closer perspective too during their 3-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao in a friendly game. Incidentally, it was Williams who scored the consolation goal for his Spanish club.
It appears the Merseyside club are not yet done this summer and could bring in Williams before the end of this transfer window.
However, we think what the Reds should bring in a new defender like Virgil Van Dijk to add more quality to the defence.
Maybe he needs more options in his attack.
