Klopp seek like-for-like replacement for Brazilian
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has claimed his team will be targeting the move of an attacking midfielder to replace departed Brazilian Philippe Coutinho this summer transfer window.
The Merseysider’s lost the talented Brazilian to FC Barcelona in the winter transfer window and have not yet signed a replacement, though RB Leipzig star Naby Keita has a transfer deal in place to join the Anfield based club in the summer window, as per BBC Sport.
Liverpool coped without Barcelona man
Although the Reds have largely coped without the Barcelona man so far, undoubtedly, he is a world-class attacking midfielder whose contribution to the side in recent seasons cannot be understated.
Jurgen Klopp seems to know the need to reinforce in that department of the field as well due to the injury woes with Adam Lallana this campaign, who could have been a good replacement from within the Red team to play more often after the Brazilian’s exit.
The Daily Mirror suggests that Jurgen Klopp has said he’ll look to reinforce in attacking midfield position and list players like Monaco wide man Thomas Lemar and Borussia Dortmund youngster Christian Pulisic as possible attackers to come in.
