Chelsea are ready to drop interest in Alvaro Morata and could launch a summer bid for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, according to reports.

The Blues have just won the Premier League after an impressive title run over their rivals, but Antonio Conte is keen on landing major targets this summer in a bid to improve on their performances next season.

Chelsea were credited with an interest in Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata who has been tipped to leave the Santiago Bernabeu due to his lack of chances at the club this season, making few appearances despite been a brilliant player with Juventus last season.

Reports in the Evening Standard claim that Chelsea have shifted their focus and set sights on pursuing Lukaku who is termed a better choice to the Spaniard.

Although, Morata had earlier revealed his desire to re-unite with Blues boss Antonio Conte who brought him to Juventus where they had a wonderful ride in the Serie A, winning titles and recording huge success but reports have it that Chelsea will prefer Lukaku due to his experience playing at the top level in the Premier League.

The Belgian forward has been an impressive figure for Everton, since he joined them from Chelsea in 2015 and has been regarded as one of best strikers in England.
