£58.50m-rated Star Player Re-opens Chelsea and Liverpool Rumour

Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has re-ignited transfer talk of a possible move to the English Premier League.

The Borussia Dortmund forward was at the center of intense rumour at the start of the summer transfer window. However, Pierre and Dortmund appeared to end any possibility of a transfer last month.

The German club placed a July deadline on any chance of him exiting – which passed, and the Gabonese publicly claimed he would be staying with the Bundesliga club.

However, the Gabon international striker has re-opened the likelihood of a huge-money transfer this summer.

‘I (Aubameyang ) am still reflecting on whether I (Aubameyang ) should leave [Dortmund] or not.

‘This is the question I (Aubameyang ) keep on asking myself – and I (Aubameyang ) don’t have an answer. I (Aubameyang ) need time to think about it.

‘If I(Aubameyang ) want to grow, I (Aubameyang ) surely need to leave this summer transfer window. I (Aubameyang ) am 28, and I (Aubameyang ) need to grow.’

Aubameyang had been heavily linked with Premier League clubs Chelsea and Liverpool.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen on strengthening before the summer transfer window slam shut, and is reportedly keen on a new forward, despite having already signed Spaniard Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.

But if any of the Premier League clubs pull off a transfer for Aubameyang, who is valued about £65million, they will need to give the forward guarantees over his role at the club – something the Reds may find easier than the Blues.
