Chelsea winger Pedro has revealed he left Barcelona to get regular football in the Premier League.
The 29-year-old forward who came through the famous La Masia academy and also played under Pep Guardiola, lifting multiple laurels at the Camp Nou.
However, Pedro was frustrated at Barcelona due to lack of playing time at the Camp Nou which sparked a transfer battle between a host of English clubs before signing for Chelsea, despite strong links from Manchester United.
Pedro told The Telegraph: “It was very clear to me I had to leave Barcelona and this was a really good opportunity,
“I had very few minutes in Barcelona and, yes, last season was bad, but I have never regretted it.”
“Second is a disaster at Barcelona, so last season was a new situation for me,
“It was a difficult situation for everyone, for the club, the team and the coach. There were a lot of problems, but this season is different.
“I would love to win the Premier League because it’s the strongest league in the world and I think that would be something really good for my career.”
Pedro has been a key figure at the Stamford Bridge since Antonio Conte’s switch to the 3-4-3 formation.
