Ozil’s case is different, United, Arsenal battle this fine winger

While the issue of Manchester United’s interest in Mesut Ozil has been settled, Arsenal are reported to battle the Red Devils for the signature of Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.

The reported interest in the German midfielder has been cooled off with Ozil claiming to be happy at Arsenal.

The former World Cup winner stated that the fans have always been behind him hence, he will pay them in return with his commitment and performance.

However, a new battle is expected between both North London and Manchester clubs over the Lille winger.

Arsenal are reported to be the first suitor of the player with talks already held with his representatives earlier this month before United entered the race, leaving the decision to the player to make if the right offer is made.

Feelers in France are that Lille expects an offer from The Gunners in January and are prepared to let the player leave at the right price.

A Telefoot report says United have also preparing to launch an offer just like Arsenal in January.

Pepe, 23, moved to Lille a year ago from Angers and has caught the attention of both English clubs

Following the disappointment in the last summer transfer window, United could be set to approach the January window with many activities.
