Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has kicked against the Los Merengues’ interest in Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.

The 32-year-old is not happy with senior Real Madrid officials who are keen on a move for Egyptian star Salah as they try to offset the big gap left by Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese international skipper was Real Madrid’s talisman and major source of goals before he joined Italian Serie A giants Juventus for a club-record fee of around €100m plus add-ons.

Spanish media portal Diario Gol say that Real Madrid are targeting Mohamed Salah as doubts remain over the goalscoring prowess of number one transfer targets Eden Hazard.

Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos is unhappy with the club’s interest in Salah.

The high profile feud between Salah and Ramos could be traced back to the 2018 Champions League final clash between Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Salah was substituted with a dislocated shoulder in the first half of that game on the back of a collision with Sergio Ramos and that played a big part in the decision of the Egyptian to snub his nemesis during the FIFA Awards held earlier this year.

Mohamed Sarah initially struggled with the aftereffects of the shoulder injury but he’s back in form after netting 15 goals in all competitions this season.
