Man United Enter Race To Sign £40m-rated English Winger

Manchester United and Liverpool have asked about the availability of Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to reports.

The 23-year-old’s future has been up in the air in recent weeks due to his refusal to sign a new deal at the Emirates,. The Englishman has endured a frustrating time with the Gunners since he joined the club as a teenager from Southampton, and has had to struggle with incessant injuries and inconsistent displays.

Although Oxlade-chamberlain has proven to be a brilliant figure with the Gunners towards the end of last season, churning out impressive displays in the 3-4-3 formation despite being deployed across several positions, ranging from left and right wing-backs to attacking wing positions.

But the winger has refused to renew his deal with Arsenal, sparking interest from clubs in Premier League with initial reports that Chelsea were considering a swoop for the player.

However, reports in the Express claim that Manchester United have joined in the pursuit of Oxlade Chamberlain, along with Liverpool who have been longstanding favourites to sign the player this summer.

But what remains yet to be seen is whether Arsene Wenger will allow one of this brightest stars leave to join one of their direct rivals after coming to insist that the player is not for sale.
