Chelsea summer signing Marcos Alonso has stated that he doesn’t know if he will be selected for his side’s FA Cup quarter-final game with Manchester United on Monday.
This season so far since his arrival at the Stamford Bridge club, Marcos Alonso has been in superb form for his Chelsea side under new Italian manager Antonio Conte.
However Antonio Conte has rested the Spaniard in the competition so far.
And it appears Alonso himself is keen to line up at Stamford Bridge against Mourinho’s Manchester United on Monday, but he thinks the boss might continue to rotate.
“It has been good for me to rest from time to time in the FA Cup,” he explained.
Alonso doesn’t know if he will play for Chelsea against Manchester United in the FA Cup encounter as Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has rotated his side for the FA Cup so far this season.
“Now we have a big game against United and let’s see [if the manager keeps rotating]”
“I am happy because the team kept winning and that’s the most important thing.

“Let us see what the manager decides. I have to recover from the game against West Ham to be ready if the coach decides to use me.”
Marcos Alonso has been a surprise success this current campaign after moving to Chelsea from Serie A side Fiorentina in the last summer.
Prior to his arrival, he was met with skepticism by many Chelsea supporters after less than impressive spells at both Bolton and Sunderland.
He has nevertheless proven them critics all wrong and helped Antonio Conte’s side to the top of the Premier League with just 11 matches to go.
