Liverpool target Nicolò Barella shines for Italy in the Uefa Nations League

The Uefa Nations League is on, with most European countries having played some matches in the past few days.

Last night, Italy led by top coach, Roberto Mancini played against Ukraine, however, one Italian youngster, Nicolò Barella, who made his debut for his home country put up a great performance.

Nicolò Barella, 21, played in the Italian midfield where he made some great passes with high football possessions.

He also made some dangerous moves to find the back of the net for Italy but in the long run, the game ended in a draw.

This recent performance by the youngster have increased Liverpool interest in him.

The Reds are keen on signing him from Cagliari in the January transfer window but they will be faced with stern competition from fellow EPL club, Man Utd.

Liverpool is home to numerous midfielders which include; Naby Keita, James Milner, Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnadum, Adam Lallana and Alex Chamberlain, therefore, it is surprising to see that they are interested in a new midfielder.

Should Nicolò Barella move to Anfield, he will be faced with limited playing chances except if he is a creative midfielder which is what the Reds currently lack in their stockpiled midfield.
