According to Diario Gol, French Ligue 1 giant Paris Saint-Germain are still interested in signing Spain international Marco Asensio after having failed on several occasions to do so this recently shut summer transfer window.
The Spanish youngster as promised regular first-team football by Real Madrid head Coach Zinedine Zidane when the current League season commenced, but Real Madrid Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to full fitness has seen the young forward drop down the pecking order of the first team once again at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Spaniard reportedly turned down several offers from top European clubs this past summer.
It is believed that Paris Saint Germain, who are still after the starlet, made a bid amounting to about 120 million Euros and it also included the transfer of Germany international attacker Julian Draxler(an Arsenal target) to the La Liga club. Real Madrid are not willing to cash in on Asensio and the hot prospect himself desires to become a Real Madrid Legend at the end of his playing career.
PSG’s interest is still very much alive and it is believed that the big-spending French club will come back with another mouth-watering offer next summer transfer window, with the Gunners, also said to be interested in buying Julian Draxler.
