Gerard Pique names best EPL team

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has given his own assessment of the English Premier League as he names Man United as the best of all.

It would be recalled that Gerard Pique was once in the English Premier League at the Old Trafford as a 17-year-old boy in 2004 before his move to the Spanish La Liga outfit.

However, the Spanish defender claims the current situation at his side is just a phase the club must pass through to transit from the Alex Ferguson era.

According to him, the legendary manager had the best United team ever but he is still positive that the good old days can be brought back.

Gerard Pique will be hoping for a memorable return to the Old Trafford as Barcelona will clash against Man United on Wednesday for the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.

Barcelona have been tipped as favourites ahead of the clash but there are fears that the Red Devils could pose some surprise after their historic qualification from the round of 16 against French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are in a new era with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer taking over after Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho was sacked last December.
