Liverpool hoping to beat Arsenal to Morgan Gibbs White

According to reports, Merseyside giant Liverpool are trying to beat Premier rivals Arsenal to the signature of Morgan Gibbs-White.

As reported by The Daily Star, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is ready to spend about £5million on the starlet, but the Gunners and local rivals Tottenham are also keen.

Meanwhile, Championship side Wolves are aware they can’t offer the youngster a new and improved deal until he turns 18 years towards the end of the New year.

Wolves midfielder Gibbs-White only recently won the Under-17 FIFA World Cup with England, alongside the Gunners Emile Smith Rowe. In fact, White scored in the final match, as England’s Young Lions made a stunning comeback from 2 goals down to secure a 5-2 victory against Spain.

The young midfielder has made the substitute bench for the English Championship side’s first-team this campaign but is yet to feature in the current season. However, last term Morgan played 12 times for the senior team, starting six matches, despite his young age.

The Under-17 FIFA World Cup has relatively reduced his chances of playing again this campaign so far, but we’ll see if that changes over the next couple of month, before the winter transfer window reopens.
