Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has reportedly approached Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud regarding his situation at the North London club Arsenal and if he would love to join Chelsea in the winter transfer window.
The Reports, credited to Spanish outlet Don Balon, suggest that Antonio Conte met the Puskas winner during a FIFA event on Monday in London, to discuss with the striker the possibility of joining him at Stamford Bridge.
The Arsenal striker, valued at £19.8million by Transfermarkt was at the FIFA event to receive the award for FIFA Best Goal of the Year. The Frenchman has failed to establish a ffirst-teamspot at Arsenal for some months now. He has been used predominantly as a substitute, and the 31-year-old may be looking to seek first team football elsewhere and, Stamford Bridge could be his next home.
He has found playing time at North London limited once again during this season. Despite playing in 13 matches for the Wenger’s side, only five of these games have been as a first team starter and the forward is fast becoming a player who gets little more than 15 minutes of action per match.
Notwithstanding, the France international has still netted three goals and put in some brilliant displays, particularly in European competition.
