Benfica’s big chief Mr. Luis Filipe Vieira is recently speaking on the future of goalkeeper Mile Svilar amid his links with Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
Mile became the youngest shot-stopper in the history of the Champions League when he guided the woodwork for his side against Manchester United at the age of 18.
Although he made a mistake that led to Man United scoring a goal at Lisbon, Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho still hailed him as a ‘phenomenon’ after the game.
It is understood Jose desire making the young teenager a Manchester United player in the nearest future, and there were even reports that Sir Bobby Charlton has approached Mr Filipe over Svilar.
But speaking about Mile recently, president Vieira made it known his side have followed him since he was just 15 and that there is already an offer for the shot-stopper that will see him earn reasonably wages at the club.
The president also added that Mile is still young, and he is only focused on Benfica right now.
‘He won’t leave.’ Vieira said.
Manchester United already have two superb goalkeepers at Old Trafford – De Gea and Romero.
David De Gea is regarded by many as the best shot-stopper in the premier league, but the Spaniard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for sometime now.
With Benfica already asking Man United to look elsewhere, the red devils must do all it takes to keep De Gea at Old Trafford.
