Liverpool Hold Meeting To Sign Star Player – Club Agreed To Sell

According to reports coming from Italy, Jurgen Klopp is interested in bringing Roma star player Kevin Strootman down to Anfield this month.

Liverpool are said to have opened talks with the Serie A club for Kevin’s signature.

The Merseysiders are in the market for a new midfielder after selling Phillipe Coutinho to Barcelona for £142 million a few days back, and they have been linked with a handful of top players.

We shouldn’t also forget that Emre Can is likely to leave Anfield at the end of this season on a free transfer. The Germany international has refused to put pen on paper for a new deal to extend his stay at Liverpool.

And Jurgen’s side are said to have held some light talks over a deal for Kelvin Strootman this month.

The report also added that Roma are open to offers for the player and they won’t mind selling him this month – although Liverpool are yet to make an offer for him.

Manchester United tried signing the Netherlands international back in 2014 when Louis van Gaal was still boss at the club – but the deal couldn’t see the light of the day.

Roma also tried selling Kelvin last summer as they made an attempt to sign Juan Cuadrado – but they were unable to agree on a deal with Juventus.
