Arsenal target set to decide on his future – Heidel

The director of German Bundesliga side Schalke, Christian Heidel has disclosed that Arsenal transfer target Leon Goretzka is ready to make a decision on his playing future soon.

There were speculations earlier in the month that English Premier League club Liverpool reached a contractual agreement to secure the signature of Goretzka when the next transfer window opens, most likely in the new year.

According to the same report, Goretzka has turned down advances from Catalan giant FC Barcelona to secure a transfer to Merseyside club Liverpool.

The German side director, however, insists that the versatile midfielder is yet to decide, leaving the North London giant still with an opportunity to secure the services of the German.

The German Bundesliga star has been in splendid form for Schalke 04 lately and is attracting a number of interest from top clubs across Europe.

As cited by The Liverpool Echo, the Sporting director of Schalke Christian Heidel, when questioned about Leon Goretzka, said if Schalke o4 had no chance to keep the midfielder, they would be the first to know but claim he hasn’t received that kind of news until now.

The confirmed that Leon will decide soon without the club building any pressure on the midfielder.

The German has netted four goals in nine matches for the German side this term and has netted six goals in 12 games for Germany.
