This season has seen England international, Daniel Sturridge come on board to rescue the Reds on various occasions.

Liverpool have been deprived of any major trophy both in the EPL and UCL.

The Reds have always struggled to make it to the top four on the EPL table but apart from that nothing else seem to be coming.

Liverpool were close to lifting the EPL trophy in the 2013/2014 season under Brendan Rogers but lost out following a slip from Stephen Gerrard during a game against Chelsea.

The Reds were also closed to lifting the Uefa Champions League trophy last season, they made it to the final round of the tournament where they played against the Spanish side, Real Madrid.

They failed to win the UCL trophy after a poor save from their goalkeeper, Loris Karius, also the injury inflicted on Mo Salah also affected the team.

However, this season may be different for the Reds, this is because they now have a secret weapon in the person of Daniel Sturridge.

The England international have proven to be a game changer on two occasions especially moments when the Reds need an important goal.

Mo Salah is yet to gain is form, which would have been a bad omen for Liverpool if not for Sturridge.

He is a good replacement and backup for Brazil star, Roberto Firmino.
