Everton set to hijack two Arsenal deals in January

Arsenal might miss out on two of their top targets this New Year as Sam Allardyce makes them top priorities for his new side Everton as well.

The Ex England boss has just taken over at Everton, inheriting a struggling team from Ronald Koeman that seems in major need of operation as soon as possible.

It would be no surprise to see the Toffees busy this January transfer window, and after spending huge in the summer Everton may be able to repeat the feat again to appease Big Sam in his bid to rebuild the team.

As per the Daily Mirror, the Goodison Park outfit are looking at both defender Jonny Evans of West Brom and Sevilla star Steven N’Zonzi in what could possibly be a fantastic double swoop.

The Mirror have formerly linked the former Manchester United man with the Gunners, while the Sun suggest the Gunners are closely watching N’Zonzi’s transfer situation as he looks to leave Spanish La Liga side Sevilla.

The Gunners really shouldn’t be losing out on transfer targets to clubs like Everton, so supporters will hope they gather enough momentum quickly and sign the players they want to do better in the second stanza of the campaign.

Arsenal lost to rivals Manchester United last weekend and look ready for another campaign of merely fighting it out for a top four finish at best.
