Manchester United splashed huge cash to lure Paul Pogba from Juventus last year, and they also paid Chelsea something massive to land Nemanja Matic this summer.
However, the likes of Micheal Carrick and Marouane Fellaini will be out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of this season, and so, Man United will need to land at least one new midfielder next year.
Although manager Jose Mourinho wants Marouane Fellaini to remain with him at the club, the Portuguese tactician is aware the Belgian midfielder could actually depart next summer.
Some days back, there were widespread rumours that the former Chelsea boss wants Cristante to replace Marouane at Old Trafford.
But there are recent reports from Sky Sports that Man United are keen on signing Leon Goretzka from Schalke.
Once again, the red devils are also linked with another talented midfielder in the person of Serbian international and Lazio star player Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Calcio Mercato made it known that the red devils are ready to sign Sergej and that he is worth $94million.
The 22-year-old has evolved into one of the best players in the Serie A, scoring 7 goals and providing 10 assists in 39 games for Lazio last term. This season so far in 18 games, he has scored five goals and has provided two assists to his teammates.
From the above stats, it is glaring Milinkovic-Savic is a talented player and will add value to Mourinho’s team. But why should Man United splash a whopping $94million on him, when they can get Leon Goretzka for nothing next summer?
