End of the road, Bundesliga outfit stop Arsenal’s transfer dream

The dream of North London outfit Arsenal to land their major target Mario Gotze has been ended by German Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund as they are reportedly preparing to hand him a new deal.

It was expected that Borussia Dortmund will part ways with Mario Gotze because of his inability to deliver the same quality he had at Bayern Munich.

However, the quality of the World Cup winner is known and that seems to have influenced the decision by his club to hand him the opportunity of staying back to help the team in next season’s campaign.

Manager Unai Emery is a big fan of the star player and is reportedly preparing a cut-price swoop for the 26-year-old after his fitness concerns have been settled with 34 appearances this season.

The former Bayern Munich player still has a running contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2020 and talks of a new deal are yet to begin.

However, Dortmund director Michael Zorc has made it clear that they will soon begin talks with the star player having learned of the interest for his signature from England.

He noted that the club is not bothered about the interests for Mario Gotze, and that they have not received any request from the player seeking to leave in this summer transfer window.
