EPL: Emery makes big claim of Mauricio Pochettino ahead of North London derby

As Arsenal and Tottenham prepare for the London derby at the weekend, manager Unai Emery rates Mauricio Pochettino very high as he tips the Argentina manager to succeed as a coach as well as make big impacts in the English Premier League.

The Spanish manager is known to Mauricio Pochettino beyond the North London derby as their relationship can be traced to the Spanish Serie A where the Spurs manager was in charge of Espanyol.

It would be recalled that Mauricio Pochettino earlier hailed the Gunners manager, recalling that he had recommended him for a job at Mestalla in 2012 and was offered the role but he refused and remained with Espanyol.

However, the former Sevilla and PSG boss said he has big respect for Mauricio Pochettino, citing that he is a young Manager who has a lot to achieve in the job especially with what has been experienced with Tottenham.

Meanwhile, manager Unai Emery has maintained that his side are prepared for the game and will approach it in the best possible way owing to what is obtainable on the league table.

A win for Arsenal will not only increase their chances for a top four finish but it will reduce the points between their London rivals to one.
