Diego Costa set to call off strike and return to Chelsea; could return to training on Monday

Chelsea star striker Diego Costa is set to call off his strike and return to the Bridge, with the forward set to return to training as early as Monday morning, as he looks to resolve his future at the West London club, as per the Telegraph.

According to the Telegraph, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte might be forced to change his position on the Spain international striker, should the Brazil born forward call off his 3-month long strike and return to London, something Costa’s teammates feels will happen very soon.

The controversial striker’s colleagues believe that wantaway striker, who has a price tag of about £50million by the Blues as per the Express, will be coming back to Cobham next week according to the Telegraph, with the Spaniard set to face the consequences for refusing to return to the club earlier this summer as he tries to force through a transfer to Spanish La Liga club Atletico Madrid.

Diego Costa was included in Chelsea 25-man English Premier League squad for this ongoing 2017/2018 campaign by the Italian tactician earlier this month as claimed by the Telegraph, with Chelsea maintaining the belief that the ‘rebel’ striker must return to the Capital City so as to full-fill the terms and agreement of his existing contract and train alone to make himself fit and ready for selection, with the former Juventus tactician not providing any hints on how he will handle the situation should Costa return.
