Chelsea Adamant On £60Million Transfer Deal Or Nothing

According to new reports, premier league champions Chelsea are not allowing themselves get intimidated to selling Costa this summer and remains adamant on a £60million transfer fee for the Spaniard.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has told the player earlier this summer that he was not in his plans for the upcoming campaign and he is free to leave the club this summer. Costa has long been determined to make a return to his former club Atletico Madrid.

However, it is understood that despite the circumstances that surrounds Costa’s situations, the Stamford Bridge club won’t be bullied to let the striker leave for below his market value ( believe to be around £60 Million).

With reports Daily Mail, Atletico Madrid are only willing to pay £22 Million for the 28-year-old and might need to reconsider if they actually want a reunion with the player.

The La Liga club are still serving a transfer ban and won’t be able to register new players till next January. It is believed that the ban played a prominent role in making them lose Frenchman Alexandre Lacazette to Arsenal, but they remain in the hunt for Diego.

The Spain international only has two years left on his contract and even if he should make the move back to Madrid, he won’t be able to play for them for the first half of next season.
