Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas was seen waving his hands to the Blues faithfuls after their goalless draw with Southampton at Stamford Bridge last night.
The former Barcelona star has found game-time so hard to get under Maurizio Sarri and he is now set to move on to another club later in the month.
According to transfer media outlets last month, the Spanish international is on the radar of his former Arsenal teammate Thierry Henry who is Monaco’s manager.
The former Arsenal striker is reportedly looking to add more experience to his struggling Ligue 1 side and he has shown interest in Fabregas and Gary Cahill who has equally failed to nail down a permanent spot on Sarri’s list of important players.
Serie A side AC Milan are also linked with his services as the San Siro outfits hope to make a top-four finish by the end of the season.
However, according to French media L’Equipe, Monaco are leading the park for his signature and they are in advanced talks with his representative.
It was equally rumored that Arsenal manager Unai Emery is considering a move for the 31-year-old midfielder. It was reported that the former Sevilla manager wants to bring his compatriot back to the Emirates stadium so as to add more experience to his midfield.
Nonetheless, Cesc’s speculated return to the North London club has since died down as it appears it was just a mere rumor lacking any iota of truth.
He has featured in just seven League matches so far this season and he’s yet to open his goalscoring account for the campaign.
