It has been reported that Arsenal midfielder Gedion Zelalem has been snapped up by United State side Sporting Kansas City.
The young lad has a contract with the North London outfit until 2019 with an option of extending it to 2020 but an agreement has already been reached to have him join the United States team.
The versatile midfielder has not had the opportunity to break into the Gunners first team as a result of his lack of playing time which has slowed down his progress as a player despite having a number of appearances at the different youth ranks.
However, he is expected to again move to the youth team of the US Based club as he would not be able to secure a starting role in the club’s first team.
Meanwhile, the North London outfit have got a number of talented players in their youth ranks with some of them handed the opportunity to play in the Europa League but Gedion Zelalem has not been able to take up the opportunity because of his average performance.
There is no doubt about the belief in young players for manager Unai Emery which means that Gedion Zelalem would have gotten an opportunity at the Emirates Stadium if he had proved he deserves it.
