Albion CEO Paul Barber Confirms: Yes, We Are Interested In Tammy Abraham

Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham is one of the club’s brightest prospects and he has been linked with a handful of clubs this summer, including Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle United.

Albion CEO Paul Barber has also revealed he’d like to sign the 19-year-old on loan in this summer’s transfer window.

The teenager had a superb spell out on loan with Bristol City in the Championship last term, scoring a total of 23 goals to put himself on the wish list of some Premier League clubs this summer.

It is understood the talented striker is likely to be loaned out again by the Stamford Bridge club following his spectacular performance in the Championship last season.

However, there are lots of competition for him, and Brighton are accepting this too.

The club’s CEO Paul Barber is ready to wait to land the type of player his side needs and he has been very open about his interest in Tammy, telling Argus that the youngster is a ‘player of interest to us’

A few weeks back, it was reported that Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez is interested in bringing Abraham to the newly promoted club on loan this summer and is confident of getting him due to his relationship with the club.
